Team India won Cricket World Cup 2011

Team India won the Cricket World Cup 2011 by defeating Srilanka by 6 Wickets in Final match played in Mumbai on 2nd April,2011. Srilanka won the toss and elected to bat. Srilanka score 274 in their 50 overs by losing 6 wickets. In reply India score 277 by losing 4 wickets. Goutam Gambhir scores brilliant 97 and Captain cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni unbeaten 91. Yuvraj Singh again took 2 wickets in this match became the 2nd highest wicket taker for India. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was declared Man of the Match where as Yuvraj Singh for his all rounder performance declared Man of the series.
